Great sturdy shorts!!

Tough, lite material with good fit. Plenty of pockets and nice length. Not really any stretch though. Nice layer of soft material around inner waist with very thin stretch drawstring that you cannot feel and vanishes. I am 5'4" 140 lbs. and got the size 8. It is fitted and flattering. I will use these more for travel and short hikes instead of backpacking.

Sweet details

I bought these just looking for some functional technical shorts for hiking. And they are great for that. But I was pleasantly surprised that the cute little details they put on the short that help it transition away from looking too "outdoorsy" for use off the trail. There is some cute embroidery where the belt loops attach and the details on the back pockets are very cute. Fit is great too. I've always had to size up in Mountain Hardwear pants compared to North Face, ExOfficio, and Kuhl, but at 5'5", 110 lbs, a size 4 fit me perfect.

The only problem I've found with these shorts is they attract pet fur like crazy. And it sticks to the fabric so its hard to remove even with a lint roller.
