You, your friend, and half of someone else.
Tent life tends to be crowded, cramped, and stuffy, but not if you're holing up in Mountain Hardwear's Optic 2.5 Vue Two-Person Three-Season Tent. Not only is it more spacious than typical two-person tents—hence the 2.5—but it has adjacent roll-back doors that tie back to provide 180 degrees of ventilation and unobstructed views. The PU-coated fly has large vestibules that mirror the design of the doors, so you can switch between full waterproof coverage and and airy views without having to peel off your weather protection, and the floor is also PU coated to keep moisture from seeping in under your bag (if you need extra protection, a footprint is sold separately). Three DAC Paleria Pressfit poles—two corner-to-corner poles and one ridge pole for extra head space—let you set up the Optic in a hot second, while guy-out lines, tensioners, and color-coded tabs make it easy to batten down the hatches against wind and weather.

Great Price, Great Value
- Familiarity: I've used it several times
I've always been a fan of MH and they certainly didn't disappoint in this tent. I feel its a resonable price for the value and quality of tent you are receiving. I slept in this tent about 20 times from spring to fall and its hardy in all weather....and trust me we ran into everything from extreme heat to snow (living in montana). I bought it for the .5 (dog aspect), as I always have my furry friend traveling with me and this tent provided plenty of room. Keeps you cool in the heat and warm in the rain and sleet. It probably takes more time to put up but I think it makes up for in lightness in your pack. My favorite part is the panorama view you get from this tent, I set it up in the most optimal spot and walaa you got a great view in the morning!! Highly recommend this tent for the average weekender (me!) or for some long term backpacking (also me!). Enjoy!

What's the difference between the Mountain Hardwear Optic 2.5 Vue Tent: 2-Person 3-Season and the Mountain Hardwear Optic 2.5 Tent: 2-Person 3-Season (i.e., one is a 'vue' and the other is not).
