Mountain Hardwear wasn't going for 'cute' when it designed the Nakaya Dome Beanie, 'warm' was the number one goal. The Nakaya is made from windproof breathable Gridiron Fleece which deflects nature's most insidious cold-air attacks while allowing your head to breathe and regulate its temperature naturally. The fleece-lined ear-band covers your ears completely, and the high visibility tonal reflective print at the front of the beanie makes it impossible to be mistaken for a deer by passing hunters.
Bottom Line: One serious hat.

This thing fits like a swimming cap, and despite its lack of bulk keeps my head very warm. I like it that it's not so bulky, and I don't get the urge to take it off every 15 minutes and rub my itching forehead. I got it in black, I love the high speed tactical look it has. If I was still in the military I'd probably wear this under my helmet. Along with a neck gaiter you are "covered".. pun intended.

Excellent stuf under the helmet and without it. Gives a lot of heat. Very light, breathes very well, stops the wind pretty effectively !!!
