Wear the Mountain Hardwear Men's Microgrid Zip T as an insulating mid-layer on your backcountry ski trip. This fleece pullover's waffle-knit fabric traps in heat but breathes to keep you comfortable. When the snow melts, the MicroGrid becomes a semi-fitted performance fleece for cool-weather climbing, hiking, and biking. A ¼-length chest zip lets you unload excess heat when your astounding athleticism gets you a little too hot.

Two things you should know about this fleece:
1) It's fairly light weight. Warmer than a cotton T, but not by a lot.
2) It runs SHORT and small. I typically wear a men's small for baselayers with a skintight fit, but this shirt left about 3 inches of my stomach exposed. I am 6', but my patagonia, other MH, stoic, and northface gear all covers my tummy in small... Beware.
That aside, the material feels nice and Mountain Hardware is easily my favorite gear supplier, so this still gets a decent rating. Just order larger than usual and make sure to sunscreen the happy trail!

Nice shirt but order it in a larger size. I ordered a large and it works as a base layer.
What is the logo? Is is embrodriary or some kind of plastic?

On their fleeces and jackets it's usually embroidered, but some baselayers have a lightweight plasticy one. This is most likely embroidery though.-------------Disagree, I think this one is probably a decal, MH has been moving towards them. It's not the TNF logo, that's what goes on North Face gear.--------------This Mountain Hardwear nut is embroidered. We also have reflective 'Nuts' that we laminate on some things... but most are embroidered. Definitely not "plastic-y"

I bought this in union blue, extra large, for my boyfriend who is a tall guy. He normally wears large, but the extra large fits him great and the sleeve length is just right. The blue color is nice and the shirt is very soft. He wears it in the morning when we rock climb, and usually takes it off once it gets a little warmer.

Good looking shirt but runs small. I'm 5'7" and weigh 145 lbs and wasn't even close to fitting into a small.

Get this in a larger size. Im 511, 190 lbs and I initially ordered a large, but it was way too small. The sleeves werent long enough and it was really tight in the upper arms. Sent it back and re-ordered in XL and that fits. Also, this is listed as a 200 weight fleece, but its actually a 100 weight. The tag says Arctic 100 Fleece. Other than that, this is a great light weight mid layer.
