Nice fuzzy feel to it too.
Heed this warning however: If you have a large head it will not cover all of your ear.

This is a very warm, very soft beanie. Feels nice on my shaved dome and fits snugly. I've had mine 2 years and it is getting warn thin. I tried on a new one and they cover the ears well but for some reason mine doesn't, I might have an old model or something. Anyway I highly recommend this hat.

Great toque for those mild days. Great for under the helmet too.

I used the Micro Dome on a brisk trip through the Sierra this fall. It feels great, warm, lightweight and functional. One note: if you have big hair like I do, this beanie can be a tad small, just covering the tips of your ears1. Overall it’s a sweet beanie for people with smaller heads.

The most comfortable beanie I've tried. Lightweight and stretchy so it doesn't hurt your ears when wearing for a long time. Haven't tried it in windy weather below 40 F yet but so far it has performed very well. If wind chill is a serious factor for you, you may want to look at the Micro Dome WindStopper. It's not as comfortable but is definitely warmer.

This is an awesome product. It has the quality that you expect from Mountain Hardwear. It is very lightweight and keeps your head insulated and warm. Buy this.

This hat is lightweight yet nice and warm.
Great for cross-country skiing, hiking and/or just wearing around town.
Only problem for me with a small head
(size=56cm/22inches/7) is that the hat "stick up a little", unless I pull it way down almost over my eyes. I would not wear this hat under my skihelmet... it's much too bulky.

I really like this hat! It's super lightweight and comfortable. The reason I gave it a 4, however, is because my ears are really sensitive, and I found that the hat just wasn't tight enough to keep them comfortably protected. Maybe it's just me... or maybe it's because I'm a girl and have a pony tail hanging out the back of the hat (keeping it from being tighter), but I end up wearing a headband to cover my ears and then putting the hat over it for extra warmth. It's still a great hat, though. I love it!
