The Mountain Hardwear Micro Dome is a tight fitting fleece beanie designed to fit under a helmet or hood. This is a low profile way to keep you warm while ice climbing, skiing, or camping. A classic polartec Micro 100 fleece make the Micro Dome stretchy, thin and most importantly, warm.
Bottom Line: Dome cover, micro or otherwise.

This is a lightweight fleece beanie. It is very thin and fits perfectly under a climbing helmet. Its one size fits all so if your a little smaller than the average, you may need to adjust the sides a little.

I was surprised at how thin this beanie was which is great because it's still very warm. It fits under my hood or ski helmet for those really cold days. Stays very soft after everyday use and cleans up nicely in the washing machine.

I'm not sure how I feel about this beanie. I've had it for over a year and sometimes it works great and other days it seems like it won't stay on my head. You have to roll up the back to make it fit correctly, but the fleece is really soft and warm. Worth it for the money.

If your gonna be in wind you might want something different. You get what you pay for. Keeps you kind of warm. More for casual wear.

I bought this beanie because I wanted something windproof, and there it was in the description at a good price. However when I received it and wore it riding a bike, it was definitely not windproof. If you don't need some thing windproof I'm sure it's great, but I didn't like being told a product had a feature when it didn't.
Change me.
