The Mountain Hardwear Women’s Mesa Convertible Pant uses seamless waist construction to eliminate uncomfortable pressure points when you hit the trail. Canyon Cloth fabric provides the lightweight feel you want for long hikes and the durability you need for a day of cragging. Mountain Hardwear included cargo pockets to hold your snacks and other necessities when you want to keep moving instead of digging through your pack.

Bottom Line: Just begging for a hike.

comfortable pants

these are so comfortable, the waist has a lining that is great is you are carrying a pack since it keeps the nylon from rubbing you. The size is true to other pants and I love the length, I am 5'9 and they are long enough for me. I could do without the cargo pockets on the side I think the placement of them extends the look of my hips especially when I am wearing just the shorts. The legs are easy to zip on and off but you have to take your boots off to do it unlike some pants that have the side zipper. Overall a good hiking pant and comfortable to rappel in thanks to the soft lined waist

Great fit and features, weak stitching

By:

I loved these pants immediately for the excellent fit and features. Two ample front pockets with zippers beneath standard side pockets hold the items I like to keep close at hand, and the elasticized pant bottoms work well and cover my boot laces. The waist belt could be longer on the tightening end as it's hard to get enough of it to really pull tight. Having said all that, on my third wearing, a backpacking trip into the Emigrant Wilderness, the entire rear seam ripped out, and I had to hike out with my red undies peaking out with each step. I am returning them for an exchange, although this might be enough to make me think they are simply defective. If I didn't like all the other features, I'd look for another style, but I'll try one more pair.
