The Mountain Hardwear Women's Lynx Jacket blocks wind like a technical fleece, but you'd never guess that from looking at it. This plush jacket swathes you in designer style while warming you on the rock. Its Windstopper Naughty Rabbit fleece is totally windproof, but breathes to keep you comfortable while you climb. The Lynx Jacket's dense fabric also happens to be softer than a fluffy bunny and stretchier than the traditional fleeces that fill your closet, and its chest-high hand pockets remain accessible when you wear a harness. Zip this fleece into compatible Mountain Hardwear shells.
Bottom Line: Climb unhindered by wind when you wear the Mountain Hardwear Lynx Jacket.
The ones with the white section are the white/espresso color, which I don't think is available. If you have a specific question like this, just use the chat link on the upper right hand side of this page.
I bought this because it was fuzzy, but I never expected to be my go to jacket for everything. I'm usually a small and the jacket is true to size. It holds up great in windy and snowing Colorado weather. Just add a long sleeve shirt and you're ready to head out in light snow. I even spilled coffee on it and it came right off with a wet nap. I LOVE IT!!!

This is a fitted jacket but I have large shoulders and small hips and it fits perfect. It is so soft and everytime I wear it I get compliments and people trying to pet me. Hmmmm! Nice weight too!
You would probably be more comfortable in a medium. Depending on how you want to wear it, mid-layer or outer-layer, you could actually probably fit in either.

Bought it just cos it was on special at the time and it is my favourite windstopper fleece. Yes, it is a bit tight around the hips but I suppose you need to try them on for size and deal with it or not. Hardly worth complaining about a fit not being right when a particular piece of clothing just doesn't fit your body! Get over it
got a small and a medium. i am 5'4", 120# with larger shoulders and small hips. the small was too tight in the shoulders. because of the windstopper it didn't stretch much. and though the medium was good in the shoulders, it was huge everywear else. very soft fabric outside, but it is a stiff, not cuddly, jacket due to windstopper. also, to clarify, the inside is more of a soft brushed fabric, not a fuzzy fleece.
This coat is both great for layering under a waterproof jacket for skiing and wearing on cold evenings downtown. The wind stopper material really keeps out a cold wind, but also makes this a thick jacket and a bit stiff. I couldn't imagine trying to wear this on a climb. The sleeves are tight and make it a bad choice for fluid mobility. The one drawback is it has a little plastic cincher on the collar to tighten it around your neck and my hair is always snagging in it. They should have put it at the bottom of the collar, not the top.
Do you mean Mountain Hardwear fleece? That is really subjective to each person and each individual metabolism. With that said, this Lynx and Mountain Hardwear's Monkey Woman/Man Jackets and the Mynx Jacket are really really warm. The Mynx and Lynx are also windproof via the Gore Windstopper laminate which helps greatly in the warmth department.
I bought the Lynx. The jacket was beautiful. Large was too small so I returned it for a Mynx XL. I am not a rock climber, runner, skier, I am just a working stiff that wants to stay warm. This is a great jacket. Long sleeve tee shirt and this jacket was enough for -20 last week. Thanks for making a great product.
yes, i am stoked about my lynx! that is, if a 48-year old can say 'stoked'!! the sleeves are nice and long to keep wrists warm. it's a nicely fitted shape. if only it had a hood it would be perfection. and how about a reversible version! it is incredibly pettable. how about a blanket version?!!!
This fleece is so warm. I am 5"1 and 125# and bought a medium. It fits perfectly, maybe a teeny bit big but still can fit under my ski jacket. It's perfect for backcountry skiing in windy places, or wearing to work. I wish it had pit zips, though. It's also so soft that strangers pet me.
I've been looking for a nice fleece for a long time. This is finally the end of my search. It it so warm & cozy & soft. It keeps the wind out of your sleeves & from coming up underneath your torso. You'll still need a scarf to keep your neck warm in the wind. It is a closer cut than most fleece's I've had, but it stretches & moves with you. Looks great, feels great!
