Top Notch

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

I didn't think that it was possible to love a sleeping bag so much- until I got this one. This bag is everything that you could ask for in a bag, plus more. It compacts down to a good size, and with a compression sac it gets even smaller to fit into tighter spaces. The synthetic fill is very nice- lofty, but you aren't constantly worried about it getting damp and ruining the insulating properties. And with the shell fabric directly welded to the insulation, you don't find yourself with over-stuffed spots in one place and cold spots in another. But by far, the best part is how comfortable this bag is! Super plush. The women's specific design is comfortable without being too restricting. The draft collar makes for a nice place for your neck, and the head space makes it easy to keep your pillow in one place throughout the night.

As far as sizing goes I am 5'2, I have the regular, and although it does have some extra space, I do not ever find myself swimming in it. And this bag is TOASTY. Almost a little too toasty for most of my summer outings, as I sleep very warm. But I have also found myself sleeping in a tent through an unexpected snowstorm of 2 feet, and I kept quite warm.

I can't wait to keep taking this thing out on adventures, it is the best home away from home I could ask for!

Good bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I got the regular length of this bag, and took it out camping recently. It's very comfortable, and easily packs down nice and small if you want to take it backpacking. I'm 5'8'' and was very comfortable in the regular length bag, and my friend who is just under 6' can squeeze in there too. Can't really comment well on the warmth rating just yet, since it didn't get that cold when I was out (maybe 45-50 degrees F), but I was definitely toasty.

The specs say the regular is 6ft? Is that...

The specs say the regular is 6ft? Is that accurate? Most women's bags are shorter.
