Lamina Sleeping Bag: 15 Degree Thermic CF

The Mountain Hardwear Lamina Sleeping Bag utilizes Thermic CF insulation, a material co-developed by Mountain Hardwear and Polarguard to emulate the positive qualities of down in a synthetic. Welded to the bag's shell, Thermic CF doesn't suffer from the water vulnerabilities of down, but has better loft, softness, and compressibility than you'd expect from a synthetic. The 15-degree Lamina is a great all-purpose, all-season bag good for everything but the coldest and hottest nights. A draft collar and face gasket seal in warmth, and a trapezoidal comfort footbox makes for more natural foot placement. Representing a leap forward in the quest to have your cake and eat it too, the Lamina stands out from the crowd.

Bottom Line: Don't know where I'm going, but I'll sleep well in the Moutain Hardwear Lamina bag!

I like it... very soft and warm.. good design on the mummy layout... I could imagine hunkering down and tightening up the hood for a really cold night.

Great Buy!

I bought this bag because it was affordable, lightweight, compressible, and water-friendly. I've used it backpacking through some poorly kept trails in northern NH, and also while "camping" at some NH state parks.

When backpacking, it helped that it was extremely lightweight! When camping, I slept in a puddle, but it kept my dry and warm, and then dried out quickly, without the funky smell that develops with down sleeping bags. Great bag for spring/summer/fall!
