Don’t lug a three-season bag up the mountain in the middle of July. At just 731 grams, the Mountain Hardwear Lamina 45 Sleeping Bag keeps you comfy down to 45 degrees Farenheit, which is all you need on most summer adventures.

  • Welded Lamina construction holds the bag’s synthetic loft in place, eliminating cold spots
  • A comfy mummy cut maximizes warmth but doesn’t restrict your mid-slumber rolling
  • Polyester lining wicks moisture from the body
  • An internal zip pocket at the shoulder holds your contacts case and alarm
  • Thermic Micro fill insulates efficiently and retains loft through repeated washings and compressions
  • A Comfort Footbox lets your feet rest in a natural position
  • Nylon compression stuff sack and mesh storage bag included

Bottom Line: A highly compressible and oh-so-light bag to take on your next river expedition or summer night in the mountains.

Love it

I'd let you punch me in the face if you didn't love this sleeping bag, but I know someone would just be like, I hate it, just to punch me in the face. Buy it, it's cheap, it's light, it compresses super small, and will keep you warm if it gets chilly and it's super comfy. I have used this on nights in the 30s with some clothes and it works. I have also just napped around the house in it, and taken it to 70s plus. I have a regular and I'm 5.5 hope this helps

this sleeping bag is warm, small, and the liner fabric feel soft against your skin. The compressed size is more like 5.5x8 fully compressed

Sizes listed are wrong.

It's a great high quality bag that will keep you warm. I've had to leave it unzipped and pulled open in 40 degree temperatures so do not worry about it not being warm enough.

The only problem is a major one the sizes listed are incorrect. I'm 5'8" and the short is too short to pull the hood over my head. I had to give it to my wife.

Perfect for Travel

This bag is perfect for summer travel. it compresses down to smaller than a loaf of bread. With the micro fill it is easy to roll, compact, and is still comfortable. Great price for the quality.

Lamina 45 Degree Sleeping Bag

By:
August 5, 2009

I'am 6'3", wt. 210lbs and this bag is perfect! I used it one time so far. I live in louisiana and the weather seems to be programed to rain on weekends. I slept with the bag unzipped and used it like a sheet except early in the morning it got a little damp and I zipped it closed. Very comfortable bag. It should prove to be comfortable into late fall early winter here in louisiana.

Order a size larger

By:
April 1, 2009

I ordered this bag in the small size, which says that the max user height should be 6 feet...well...I am exactly six feet tall and had a hard time in this bag. Fortunately, backcountry.com has an awesome return policy and let me exchange the bag for the regular :) !!
That being said, if you are around 6 feet, go for the "regular" sized bag. It will be worth the extra weight an money.

Seems great!

I think this bag is gonna be the PERFECT summer bag. If you live/travel down south like I do you definitely need a light weight bag... plus it packs WAY smaller than those bulky down winter bags! I really like that it comes with a storage bag and a compression bag as well. I'm '6 and the size Regular works just fine for me. Definitely recommended.
