Sleep outside all summer long in your Mountain Hardwear Lamina 35 Synthetic Sleeping Bag. The new Lamina 35-degree Fahrenheit sleeping bag features a tear-resistant shell coated with a durable water repellent and Mountain Hardwear's Thermic Micro insulation. This synthetic insulation has the positive properties of down—it's warm yet compressible—but it doesn't lose its warmth when it gets wet. Welded directly to the sleeping bag, Thermic Micro stays in place so you don't get cold spots. The unique welded construction is sturdier than baffle stitching, so the Lamina 35 holds up well to repeated washings and stuffings. The Mountain Hardwear Comfort Footbox lets your feet rest in a natural position while you snooze.

Bottom Line: Take your lightweight Mountain Hardwear Lamina 35 Sleeping Bag on all your summer forays into the backcountry.

cheaper bag/good for fall spring trips

By:

First of all, we all know mountain hardware to be very good at what they do, and generally I found this bag to be at these standards. I've tested it in the lower 30's nights and never found myself getting cold. Anything colder than that, get another bag. If you are 6 foot, I would suggest to upgrade to the long version. I went with the smaller version and find myself wanting to stretch out fully, but just barely able to. Not as sturdy as I would of hoped from Mountain Hardware, I had a few threads go out by the zipper, but was fixed pretty easily. I've been on 10-15 trips so far with this bag and have found it to meet my fall and spring outings beautifully. In summer I don't use it, I just cover up with a blanket because I would get too hot. Lightweight, and 90% comfortable makes it a 4/5 in my book.

Perfect 95% of the time

I bought the Lamina 35 after researching nearly every type of bag. Backpacker Gear Guide, reader reviews, everything. I replaced my 15yr old Slumberjack bag. I wanted something the compresses down small enough to fit in my overnight pack (2800cu) and something light. I'm a warm sleeper and only ever got cold 20 degrees colder than what my old bag was rated at (20). The compression sack is a bit tight, but the bag fits in the 6x12 sack. Very lightweight, great hood, plenty of wiggle room, and a snag free zipper. I saw no need for a down bag. This was plenty light for me, and I'd rather not ever have to worry about my bag getting wet and useless like down. This is a great bag for a great price! I plan on getting a down 0 deg bag for ski touring and winter trips, but the majority of my nights are spent above 25F.
