Hypnosis may not have gotten you off smoking, but it will help get you up the mountain. The Mountain Hardwear Women's Hypnosis Jacket is a lightweight shell for backcountry skiing, ice climbing, and general playing in the snow. Adjust the hood and hem drawcord with one hand while you dig into the water bottle pocket for a drink. Open the super-light underarm zippers when you're skinning a ridge so you don't start to overheat. The powder skirt keeps the snow out on your descent, and the hood stows away until you need it.

Bottom Line: Staying dry and warm in the backcountry is more than mind over matter.

I just bought this jacket...1. how do you use th powder skirt?

I just bought this jacket...1. how do you use th powder skirt? the snaps don't match up...and how is the jacket warmth wise? I don't want to have to wear too many layers and feel constricited.

I bought this jacket and have experienced great Mountain Hardwear gear, but it does run a little small around the hip region.
