I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I am surprised how warm this very lightweight jacket is. Happy with the choice.

My Second Ghost Whisperer

This is my second ghost whisperer purchase. I had my first one for 7+ years and it was very well used and loved. I sent it back to mountain hardware for repair and the only reason I’m getting a new one is because it has finally started to loose its fluff. This is my go to jacket to shove in my pack to trail running to stay warm when I’m taking a break. I also tend to wear it everywhere because it’s so comfortable.

Poor quality product and expensive

Poor fit and inferior quality. Armholes are too tight so the skimpy amount of down compressed after wearing it only twice. It looks terrible now. I really like the fit otherwise, but I can’t wear it around town now. It looks dirty.

Fantastic Jacket

Familiarity:

I love this jacket as I run hot & it works beautifully when hiking. I'm 5'8" and 160lbs; bought the women's large and it's a perfect layering jacket. I can comfortably fit a tank, thin long-sleeved tee, and mid-weight sweater under it, when needed. And, the hood is large enough that I can fit a cap underneath. One note - when it's time to launder, the instructions are very clear that you must dry the jacket thoroughly, and that it may take multiple dryer cycles to do so. I have found it takes about 3 hours to dry thoroughly so that all the marvelous down spreads properly. If you use a laundromat, that could make a difference.

Best layering piece!!

this lightweight hoodie packs down to nothing so it’s great for travel or throwing in your backpack. I am 5 foot 11 140#’s and the sleeves are long enough and fit is great for wearing over another layer or two without added bulk. i bought the M in the jacket and S in the matching pants. looks nice enough to run to market or lounge apres ski. i’m obsessed!!!

Perfect fit and Never Bulky

Love the Ghost Whisperer line! It’s warm and light, not at all bulky and this color combo is really fun and surprisingly pretty!!

Good jacket, just can’t go the distance…

I’ve had this jacket for several years now and as much as I like it, it’s also a huge disappointment in the following ways: delicate fabric (I have patched it numerous times) and hemorrhages feathers, especially on the arms, & no cinch feature in the hood. If you just think about coming in contact with a branch, or maybe some rocks, this thing develops a hole. And the same can be said for feathers - it started losing feather the first month I had it. It’s a shame we don’t see more welded seam construction because every place there is a stitch a feather finds its way out. I’m tempted to get another one though because the fit is good and it’s a decent little lightweight down jacket. If you plan on casual town wear it probably will do just fine, I use my jackets for everything - hiking, walking, doing outside chores and so on - admittedly, I am probably pretty taxing on my clothes - I don’t worry about getting dirty if the need arises. This jacket looks like a patchwork piece - lots of tenacious tape and featherless baffles. I also think it could use a small pocket tucked inside - like a reverse napoleon pocket. FYI: the zipper is a little brat.

Color changes at seams

Familiarity:

Great comfort and lightweight jacket but first time in the snow the color around the seams changed to green. Probably the color underneath mixing with the blue color? Now looks weathered and old after only a few months. Don't recommend a light color
