At a mere three ounces, the windproof Mountain Hardwear Women's Ghost Anorak Half-Zip Shirt has only slightly more substance than a shadow. Yet this fitted shirt with a brushed tricot lining will make you feel much more comfortable than the average specter. Polyester wicks moisture away from your skin, and nylon resists abrasion so you can wear this shirt to rock climb or bushwhack. Mountain Hardwear gave the Ghost Anorak a DWR finish, so you'll stay dry in light precip. Articulated sleeves let you move your arms without constraint, and 9.5-inch zip at the neckline lets you adjust your body's ventilation.

I bought this shirt with layering in mind. It traps air nicely between garments. It's the perfect shirt to wear beneath a cycling jacket reducing the need for bulky layering on cold winter rides. It will be great for ski touring as an outer up layer, and will keep me warm under the out shell.

This anorak was well made, however, the outer fabric seemed like an easy prey for the thorns and bushes that grow close to the narrow trails in the mountains where I hike.

Bought this jacket as a lightweight water-shedding, wind resistant back-up to carry on long mountain bike rides. Has also turned out to be great for my bike commute and for trail running. VERY lightweight, nicely made, convenient small front pocket. Haven't tested it in a heavy downpour yet, but I would guess it gets pretty wet. Fine for a light rain.
