Great work bag

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs large

I bought this in black as a work bag for me to haul my laptop, lunch and a couple extra layers back and forth between the office and home and eliminate the need for a laptop bag and a purse.

This bag was a lot bigger than I had expected but that has turned out to be a plus since it fits ALL of my commuting stuff. I love the backpack straps which makes it easy to throw on my back if I'm running out the door or riding my bike, but its nice enough to take to the office.

My only complaint is that I wish there were something to do with the top handles, when I wear this as a backpack they just hit me in the head. Sometimes I loop them under the front pocket flap to hold them down, but thats not exactly an attractive solution.

Wondering if the straps are long enough...

Wondering if the straps are long enough to sling over the shoulder or only long enough to sling over forearm? Also, is there room to cary extra folders/books?

Straps are long enough to sling over the shoulder. This is a super roomy bag. There is room for a laptop, a few books, a jacket and my lunch!

This pack tote is great as a carry on

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

Unlike other reviewers I bought this for travel, mainly as a "purse" for carrying on the airplane. But the fact that it has backpack straps as well just makes it that much more versitile. It's a great piece of luggage and well worth the sale price for the quality.

Useful

I've been looking for a computer bag for sometime now. This one meets all of my needs. I love the fact that it is a backpack and a tote. It fits my computer perfectly. There are plenty of pockets. My only complaint is that I wish the straps were a little bit longer.

Just got my bag

This bag looks a step up from a backpack in terms of sophistication for day trips/shopping. It is sturdy, roomy (very) and well made. I like the zip top and organizer in the pocket. I was disappointed the thread on the logo for the black bag is white rather than the black shown. I will likely take a fine point Sharpy and make it black if I can. Because it looks a little more upscale and sophisticated than a camp bag, I don't really want to advertise it as a "mountain gear" bag. I'd rather no logo at all or at least on the back. Also, if I were to design this bag I would add a bottle holder to one side and a cell phone pocket to the other. Then it would be perfect! I have found add-ons that will let me do this, but it would have been nice if easy access pockets for these two things were integrated into the bag. Otherwise, it is exactly what I was looking for.

The logo on the bag is white, it does not bother me but definitely personal preference so be aware. I completely agree about the bottle and cell phone pockets?next addition. However my biggest complaint is the shoulder straps when using the bag as a backpack. There is no great way to tuck them in or remove them. They hit you on the head and neck?and look strange. They can be tucked in to the bag, but then the bag can not be zipped. What are other users doing, if anything, so this is not an issue?
