Mountain Hardwear constructed these pants from a smooth nylon weave and then laminated them with 20K waterproof, super breathable Conduit. Welded rear pockets, water-resistant pocket zippers, and ankle gaiters all help stop moisture and snow from sneaking in. The Freeride Pants feature articulated knees for enhanced mobility whether you free-heel it or rock traditional bindings, and laminated cuff guards protect the hems.

I would say the Synchro Pants due to the fact that they are not insulated and the Freeride Pants are (with a little bit of Prima-loft.) If you said more resort and less backcountry... I would say the other way around. Hope that helps...
