Lovely coat! Great color! Very warm!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

I ordered a small thinking it would be the right fit but is a little too big. I am tall and slender but curvy in the hips and bust. Wishing it came in XS.

Love it!!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

Bought this for Alaska winters, I doubt it will be warm enough for -40 degree weather, but I would rather layer up than wear a marsh mellow coat. It is very pretty, I bought the wink color and I love it. It is also very hard for me to find coats that are long enough for me in inseam and arm length. I am very tall and this coat fits me wonderfully. I bought a size up for layering and its perfect. I will add to this when I test it out in the cold but I expect good things.

is the Jacket true to size fit, or do you...

is the Jacket true to size fit, or do you need to order the next size up if you want to wear a sweater or sweatshirt under it?

Responded on

Hey Rachel, this jacket should fit true to size. It will also account for the fact that you will be adding a layer underneath, so the best bet is to order your typical size.

Very warm and comfy

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times

My wife loves this jacket. It's not very cold here but she's very cold natured. She wears it constantly. I don't know what she'll do come spring.

Super Warm, Great Fit

  • Gender: Female
  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

This jacket is amazingly warm, and is my go-to for even the coldest winter weather. It has good wind-blocking insulation, yet is lightweight, with a nice fitted shape, so not too bulky like many down jackets. It also offers a bit longer length (covers your seat), and inner cuffs that help keep out the cold. Great for outdoor activities, but also looks good for running about town. It is toasty warm, and I highly recommend!

Is this jacket waterproof?

Is this jacket waterproof?

Responded on

step195652. It is highly weather/water resistant. Not waterproof. The Downhill Parka is built using a laminate in the fabric called Air Shield that is much like a thinner version of DryQ which is our waterproof/breathable membrane. Since it is a down jacket and typically used in cold weather its un-taped but highly weather resistant shell keeps the weather at bay with out an issue. I hope this info helps!

This parka is great. Warm, warm, warm. Also like the zip off fur on the hood. Nice fit, I don't feel like I look like a marshmallow -- (many down coats have this effect!)

If you are looking for down, warm and nice fit, not to mention great color, this is your coat.
