The Mountain Hardwear Crimper climbing pack

To climb with a pack or not? Lately I have been and the Crimper has been one of the two packs I have been using. I really like its size and how it rides on my back. It fits tight against your back and its svelt shape doesn't inhibit your movement. The front thin pocket easily fits a guide book and the main pack is big enough for two pairs of shoes, water and some food. The top sunglass pocket is smooth so it doesn't scratch your glasses when you put them away and the other pocket is easy to get to when you need to get your bloks or bars or headlamp. Extra gear loops make it easy to tie your jacket or rope on the pack. The material is also durable which is nice when you are wiggling through chimneys or groveling up the offwidth.

Little yet big enough

This pack is perfect to fit all the esentuals in for a day at the craig, and yet doesn't bog you down once you are on the wall. The high and tight fit is so perfect I don't even feel it.
I bought this for my girlfriend and loved it so much I had to get one as well.

perfect for multipitch

By:
November 17, 2010

Just spent 4 days climbing multipitch trad routes at the red rocks. This little pack was perfect for everything. The side pockets comfortably hold a nalgene, and for walk off routes, i was able to fit my lunch, extra layers, and my giant approach shoes in the pack no problemo. The material is pretty tough too, it did well against rough chimney walls. Very glad i bought this pack

Good Stuff

Bought this for my Wife as a day pack off of SAC.
I love this backpack and so does she. I have used
it for a day pack myself if I'm going to do some trail
running. The waist strap is a little high for my 6' torso,
but not a big deal. My wife also uses it to carry a book
or two when she has classes.

Is the pack big enough for a 15'' computer?

as good as it gets

What sets this pack aside from the others is how narrow the back board is, it doesn't restrict your shoulders making it the most ideal pack to climb with. Multipitch trad and sport climbing mainly. This was my main purpose for the pack and i also LOVE the very sturdy daisy chain on the back its just clip and go. Not to mention it looks badass. All and all its nothing short of what id expect from mountain hardware, a rugged cool lookn pack designed for a specific purpose, to go light and hard.
