The Mountain Hardwear Women's Convertible Pack Pant features zip-off legs, tons of pockets, and a quick-drying micro chamois lining. The Mountain Hardwear Women's Convertible Pack Pant's zip-off legs leave a six inch inseam short for river crossings and hot afternoons. Made of durable Hardwear Cloth, the Pack Pants offer UPF 50 sun protection. The micro chamois-lined seamless conical waist prevents waist belt abrasion and quickly dries keeping you cool and comfortable. The Convertible Pack pant has plenty of pocket space, including two front cargos, a rear zip pocket, and a front zip security pocket. Additional features include a side ankle zip, mesh draining panels in the pockets, and a pocket knife snap hook. Mountain Hardwear reinforced the knees and seat to prolong the life of The Pack Pant.

I ordered these pants for an upcoming trip to Peru. I am 5'3" and small framed but not truly a petite since I have long legs. The pants fit beautifully: perfect length and nice fit around the waist and hips which is hard to find in hiking pants. Very comfortable and functional with the just the right pockets. I had bought a few other pants and ended up returning them. I'm keeping these.

I loved these pants, so it was with much regret that I had to return them. Because these pants had zippered legs [to the ankles] I couldn't just hem them up. They were several inches longer than they were supposed to be. Too bad!

I am submitting this on behalf of my wife. She tried over 10 different pants and selected these for: overall fit, length of shorts, feel of fabric, length of zipper on leg (ease in removing lower pant leg without taking off boots). Since using them, she loves the articulation of the pant leg and the wind-resistance/breathability of the fabric.
