Hike and drink in the same outfit.
Lightweight, breathable, and with UPF 30 built right in, you can wear the Mountain Hardwear Women's Long-Sleeve Canyon Shirt when exploring slot canyons in the San Rafael Swell during the day and then go straight to the brewhouse for a well-earned pint. If you skimped on sunscreen, flip up the collar to avoid the overused but possibly deserved moniker of redneck.

- Familiarity: I've used it several times
- Fit: Runs small
the material is great but it is just awful to wear and restrictive. I ended up getting the mens version of this top and wearing it for months on the trail. The mens version has fantastic chest pockets. I adore the mens version and recommend it. Sure it isn't figure flattering like a ladies cut top - but it protected me from the sun and was very comfortable and dried quickly.
Nice fabric, poor fit
I agree with the previous reviewer- Mountain Hardwear tops have always been made for short women. If you're not 5'5" or shorter, forget about it! I'm 5' 7", and normally a XS or S in tops, and the S in this top was a bit too short in length. But my main reason for returning it: I have skinny, spaghetti arms, and the armpit area of this shirt was so tight! No movement possible without pinching. Bizarre. What's up, Mountain Hardwear?
Not great for tall people
- Size Bought: small
I'm 5'10 and 130# and bought a small - this shirt was literally a three quarter sleeve on me. I'm used to long sleeved women's shirts being an inch or 2 above where I'd like them, but the sleeves on this shirt are so short I'd imagine that anyone over 5'5'' would be wishing they were longer. As I bought it for sun protection, its going back.
