Light as a feather and smooth as butter, the Mountain Hardwear Women's Butter Zippity wicks moisture and babies your skin while you cover ground. This base layer sees you from warm weather backpacking trips to backcountry ski tours. Once you treat yourself to the super soft, moisture-wicking fabric and flat-lock seams this long-sleeve top offers, you'll never go back. Thumbholes mean you can throw on a rain or ski jacket without bunching, and a slim fit gives you tons of après-ski appeal.
Bottom Line: Stay warm and smooth like butta in the Mountain Hardwear Butter Zippity.
This shirt is so soft and well fitting that it has moved to the top of my collection for a first base layer. It wicks moisture well to keep me warm and dry when I go from working up a sweat on a bump run to riding the lift. Couldn't ask for a better base layer; definitely worth the investment.
My sister got this for me for christmas, and I couldn't be happier! It's soo soft, and warm! I use it as a layer when Im snowboarding, or just as a top layer on a cold day! two thumbs up for sure!

The shirt is too short and makes me question MH's ability to design for woman. I love the button-up butter if you need length. it is nice and long. The zipper on this one irritated my neck, so I would not recommend it for people with sensitive skin or seam-issues. I am 5'10/145 with sensitive red-head like skin.
I use this top as a base layer for skiing, but it could easily be used for other sports or workouts. Used alone, it is a very attractive piece of technical wear. It stays dry and, for me, is the perfect weight for a first layer. It is very soft, stretchy and form fitting so there isn't a lot of bulk, and bunching up, which I like. For what it is (meaning a technical top with spandex), I believe it runs true to size. If you don't like things too clingy, go up one size.
This shirt is nice and soft, but if you want it for the thumb holes, you better have shorter arms than I do. I am 5'10'' and 130 lbs. I bought the small, which mostly fits ok, but after just a few hours of skiing with my thumbs in the thumb holes, my thumbs were just about ripped off. If you're tall and thin it's hard to get great-fitting gear. This is one more to steer away from.
Loved the material but sent it back b/c the torso was too short. i'm 5'6" 110# short torso. if you don't mind your shirt pulling out, riding up then this could be perfection. should have purchased a XS instead of M for proper snuggness (and i'm large chested)IF it had not been so short. I've use MH clothing alot and this was way too short-Bummer :(
Truly an amazing shirt. Aside from the soft fabric, it is quite wind resistant and works as a great outer layer for running and hiking on mild days. My only complaint is the same one I have for all microfiber type shirts...they stink after about 1/2 day of wear. No deodorant can fix the way this fabric absorbs odors. Note: the hoody version is not cut the same at all, with a broader, shorter torso. Just because one fits doesn't mean the other will.
This is my favorite under layer top. The description is totally accurate - buttery & warm. It fits so well, I actually wear it as a going around town top.
I love the soft feeling of this "butter" fabric. This top fits well and is a great light-weight mid layer. Nothing to complain about. Recommended for temps 50F and below.
Ok, so I own three but who's counting. I love this shirt for just about anything. I like it better than the hoody cause the neck fits really well. This is a great layering piece or stands well alone as a nice zip neck. I wear this all winter, both on the hill and to work. I also wear it as a nice pullover for those cooler summer nights. The fabric is amazing and you will not find much better than this. It's like butta....
