Instead of slathering yourself in butter to become Butter Man, just pull on the Mountain Hardwear Butter-Man ˝-Zip Top and enjoy its comfortable flatlock seams, moisture-wicking fabric, and UPF 50 protection. This lightweight running top also features thumb hole gloves for chilly runs and an armband zip pocket with an interior cord exit for your tunes.

Bottom Line: Mmmm, buttery.

This shirt feels like I'm wearing butter. It's silky smooth and very comfortable. I love the pocket on the back right side of the jersey in which I cary my ipod/phone.

Smooth as Butter

A very comfortable light weight top that is extremely nice on the skin. I jog in it quite a bit and find it a good cut for a thin person. It has 2 pockets - the one on the sleeve is a bit small. It has just the right amount of stretch and the seams are well placed for comfort. Would make a good base layer in cold areas as it is not super thin and keeps you quite warm. Wish i had got 2 now!

jmc. This is much lighter than 200 wt. fleece and even 100wt fleece. Think of a really stretchy mid-weight/heavy weight-ish long underwear top that's maybe around .50wt. This butter fabric is 89% polyester and 11% elastane which makes for an extremely quick drying and stretchy top! Hope this info helps.

Pretty cool...

Just picked up a Medium - i'm 6'1", 175 lbs. and it fits well. Works well as a baselayer - i think you could wear a snug undershirt under it if you really wanted to. As advertised it's really comfy.

What temperatures is this designed for, and does an ipod touch fit in the side-arm pocket.

My favorite cold weather top

By:

This is my favorite shirt. Great fit, super smooth fabric, nice and stretchy. Has a few extras that push it straight to the top: thumb holes on sleeves long enough to fit your arms, extra pocket for music/keys. Grasshopper color just plain looks good! I wish I could wear this to work...

Wins the present award!

By:

I forgot to get my brother a Christmas present. Well, part of it at least. On Christmas eve I found this shirt. He's 5'8"ish, 150-160 pounds, so I chanced it and got him the small in blue. Regular shipping had it delivered two days later, and it fit him with perfect snugness. For the next three days - skiing, running, and lounging - he basically never took it off. Him and his wife both loved the softness of the material. The ingenious thumbholes won approval from our Dad. It may have been a little late, but the quality of this mountain hardware shirt definitely redeemed my slip-up.

Great shirt

Great piece, just picked up my second. Love the butter-man fabric, it's incredibly soft and stretchy. Strangely mine is missing the sleeve pocket, the seams are there but no zipper... 6'4"/200# and the XL fits me great. Love it!

Solid Garment

This is a good addition to anyone's active wardrobe. I use it for hiking, biking, around town etc. When it the weather turns colder it can become your base layer. It moves with you no matter how you move your body because it is stretchy....nice feature. The thumb holes are a plus as well. It fits well, feels good and looks nice too.
