When you plan to hike Mt. Baldy before lunchtime or want to practice self-arresting on a glacier near camp, load the Mountain Hardwear Bebop Backpack, and get going. The burly yet lightweight Bebop holds layers, water, first aid items, snacks, and other gear for your adventure.

  • Panel access and pockets help you stay organized and keep gear accessible
  • Side compression straps stabilize your load
  • Daisy chain lets you clip gear on your pack’s outside
  • Quick-release toggle ensures your ice axe is easy to access

Bottom Line: A pack for mountain adventures.

Talk shop with all the gear freaks out there: ask 'em questions, upload/browse photos, and give your 2¢.

"WOOHOO!" Pack

By:
June 5, 2011

I bought my Bebop 2 years ago as my go to day pack. 6 months into my relationship with the bag, a hard fall on my skateboard broke the zipper. BUT the compression straps have worked wonders for keeping my gear safely inside the main compartment for the past year and a half.

Bottom line. This bag will take what you can dish out.

Multi-functioning day pack

By:

I've used this small pack everywhere from trails to amusement parks to carry a light jacket, snacks, and two water bottles. It has a convienent small pocket on top for keys (built-in clip) and your pocket tool, etc. It also has a zippered pocket on the back that is easy to get into and rumage around without everything falling out. My only con on this pack is that it has a sad, thin waist strap that doesn't help support the weight in the pack. I would NOT recommend you buy it for trail running either. It just won't stay snug to the body.

What's the difference between a day pack and a backpack?

"Backpack" is a generic term that means, not surprisingly, a pack worn on the back. This could be anything from a small rucksack to a week-long, expedition pack. "Daypack" essentially implies a smaller pack that can keep what you need for the day on the trail, at the park, at school, or going to and from work. Some are "technical," designed for specific outdoor pursuits, while others are more designed for students or work use. The size of daypacks can vary greatly, so when shopping for one it's important to know both how you want to use it, as well as how large you want it to be.

Pretty Sweet

I got this pack two years ago for Christmas and have been using it quite often. I mostly use it for climbing and day hiking and have worn it skiing a few times to. It is a good size for taking day trips and can hold a decent amount of gear. One complaint though; the little end things on the elastic where you can cinch the water bottle has fallen off and become lost so now i cant tighten one side. but it hardly makes a difference especially since i mainly use a camelbak. all around good pack.

great day pack

I have had this pack for over a year and though it is a little pricey (fortunately for me it was a gift;-)...I love it. I use it as my "briefcase" for work, day hikes, mountain biking, and you name it! It is super light and very comfortable.

I have used it as a summit pack and a resort ski pack. Holds a 100oz bladder easily. Food, rain jacket, hat, gloves, glasses, goggles, etc, etc, etc.
