Arnina Jacket - Women's

It’s handy to have a wind-stopping softshell on your mountaineering and climbing expeditions. It’s also nice to have a jacket that doesn’t look like it could double as your backpacking tent. Mountain Hardwear made the Women’s Arnina Jacket with a WindStopper laminate and an athletic, low-profile cut. This windproof, water-resistant, breathable softshell helps block the elements and lets excess hot air out so you won’t feel stuffy on backpacking and winter adventure trips.

Bottom Line: A wind-blocking, curve-enhancing jacket.

my new fav jacket

i'm normally a TNF girl (7-8 jackets and fleece total), but I have always found their fit to be a little boxy for women. I'm 5'6'', 135lb and biought this jacket in black S. I love it, especially more flattering fit and better warmth. it's a longer fit than TNF, especially when when you lean forward or sitdown. it's also warmer and held up really well for the last 6 month i've own it. i wear it all the time, it's warm, but breath really well. i'd highly reccommend it. the fleece on the inside feels incredible soft even after the wash.

To what temperature would this be ok for an outer shell? I'm considering using it as an outer layer for skiing.

Warmer temps and dry weather, this won't replace your winter coat as it is only DWR and not not waterproof.

LOVE IT. Seriously. I would live in this if I could. I bought the black XS, and it is amazing. Incredibly warm, totally windproof and an amazing fit. I'm a small woman... 5'3" and 110 lbs with a very small frame, and the XS is perfect... a nice, close fit but with enough room for a base layer and lightweight fleece. Awesomely warm for winter hiking and mountaineering, and I even wore it over a thermal base layer for a 5 mile road race in 20 degree temps.
