Glacier 500 Sleeping Bag: 18F Down

A workhorse in Mountain Equipment's impressive lineup of down sleeping bags, the Glacier 500 is packed full of 725-fill down insulation that's wrapped in a water-resistant Drilite Loft II fabric, making the bag a hard-working mountain companion that won't cave at the first sign of moisture.

Down insulation makes the bag light and compressible, while the water-resistant fabric protects the down fill from moisture, making the bag perfect for mid-mountain bivys, shoulder season treks, and alpine climbing. Mountain Equipment gave the bag ground-level seams to reduce heat loss and trapezoid offset baffles for better thermal efficiency. The Mountain Fit is a basic mummy shape with just a touch more room than Mountain Equipment's Aline Fit for more comfort, but the fit still maintains a good amount of thermal efficiency, giving the bag an 18-degree temperature rating.
