What’s that? You had two shots too many in your Monday latte and now your entire desk is vibrating? Good think you stashed the Montrail Women’s S’Presso Hiking Shoes in your work bag. The Gryptonite rubber outsoles on these shoes keep you upright as you dash down slippery hallways and steps, and the TPU plates provide torsional rigidity and support when you hit the trail. Dual-density EVA midsoles feel flexible and cushiony whether you’re in the mountains or briskly walking around the city.

Bottom Line: Next time they offer you a quad, just say no.

Pretty comfy

These shoes (once broken in) were pretty comfy. Before it was broken in, though, the flap in the front was digging right into the top part of my foot and was giving me a rash. I had to wear socks high enough to reduce that friction until I finally got used to the shoes. I didn't like that the laces keep on coming loose.. even double knotted sometimes didn't work. They also run half a size small. I wore these hiking in Peru and they held up just fine. Not too sure whether it's waterproof though.. weather was good when we hiked!

Only our GoreTex shoes would be considered waterproof. Cheers!

I bought these shoes to replace my decrepit pair of Montrail CTC's because it became apparent that the CTC's have been discontinued, and these seem pretty similar. The only thing I don't like about them is the lacing set-up: there's no way to cinch down one part of it without making the whole thing tight. Otherwise, these shoes rock!
Note: like the CTC's these shoes are NOT waterproof, making them less than ideal for snow or pouring rain.
