Bad Sole & leaks after 1 year

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:Runs small

I saw some reviews of the boots that were great. But I don't see why. After 3 months the corners of the tread started to separate from the sole. The shoes are VERY slippery on wet rocks and smooth concrete. After 18 months the supposedly waterpoof boots now leak..

Not as tough as other montrail shoes.

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times

I have been wearing Montrail shoes for many years and have always had great experiences with them. Unfortunately with these shoes, the soles are just not living up to the demands the trails put on them. After just 3 medium hikes, the lugs on the bottom of the shoe are delaminating from the sole. They fit well on my feet and are keeping them dry. Too bad the soles just are not as tough as the rest of the shoe.
