Montrail combined its years of trail-running experience with some of the best new road-running technology to create the Women's Fluidfeel Trail Running Shoe. This all-terrain neutral shoe features a FluidFoam midsole for superior cushioning and impact absorption, while blown rubber underfoot smooths out any bumps in the road and a thoughtfully design tread pattern can go anywhere. The hybrid design, along with a moderate 8mm height difference between the heel and forefoot, make the FluidFeel a great all-around running shoe for runners who like to go anywhere, and run in any way.

  • Upper features breathable mesh and supportive overlays that deliver a snug fit midfoot with a wider toebox
  • Compression-molded FluidFoam in midsole offers better energy absorption, flexibility, and cushioning than EVA, from which it's derived
  • Lightweight, smooth-riding blown rubber at midfoot and forefoot complemented by DSP forefoot traction pods to balance the smooth ride you want for pavement with the traction you need for the trail
  • Abrasion-resistant carbon rubber in the heel enhances durability
  • 360-degree reflectivity makes you more visible on early-morning or evening runs

Way too small

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: Runs small

These shoes are a great hybrid trail shoe that is actually more of a running shoe than a muddy trail shoe. The down side is that I ordered a size 8 and could not even get my foot in them. Luckily they fit my daughter perfectly who is a size 61/2. This is a tremendous discrepancy in sizing and I wouldn't know how to possibly order the correct size.

new everyday shoe

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I am currently living in the city so whether I like it or not a good amount of my runs are on the pavement. But on the weekends I get out and do some longer trail runs. So far this shoe has not let me down on either type of surface. I feel stable and comfortable either way. I noticed that Montrail has a really unique heal pocket as well. I have some gnarly heel spurs where I always get blisters, but this has not been an issue with the Fluidfeel.
