The Montrail Men's Cirrus GTX Mid Shoe has the durability and support of a hiking boot in a lightweight, waterproof, mid-height shoe. These boots have a minimalist design for fast hikes and a seamless, padded heel with ankle support for rocky terrain. Montrail gave the Cirrus a stretch Gore-Tex XCR insert to keep your feet dry on winter hikes through snow, rain, and slush. A high-density midsole wrap adds support for longer hikes.

Bottom Line: Keep hiking in wet, winter weather wearing the Montrail Cirrus XCR Mid Shoe.

Is this product durable? Or is it going to fall apart after 6 months of use? Does the rubber toe come apart? Does anyone know much about this shoe because I cannot find anything on it online? Thanks

There’s probably a reason why Montrail stopped manufacturing this boot in 07’ if you’re looking for a good deal on waterproof boots check out backcountry outlet.

Great boots

Great boot. Traded in some other heavier boots for these. Lightweight, supportive and GTX. Fine on multi-day trips and on day hikes, no break in period. I recommend these if you can find them. Maybe not the best choice if you still insist on a 50lb pack or a lot of off trail/x country hiking.

Great Boots

By:
May 7, 2008

These boots do everything I expected. They are very compfortable in town and out on the trail. The foot bed is stiff enough on large rocks and boulders. The tread holds well on wet rocks and logs in stream scrossings. They kept all water out, until the water get too deep and the entire boot was submerged. Then again, no boot will be ater proof at this point. My feet stayed dry in wet heavy snow and were warm despite temps in the 20s and high winds. I would recommend these to anyone.

Can I use this with crampons?

Can I use this with crampons?

I purchased this boot to use with traditional crampons but soon realized they are only one notch better than strapping crampons onto flip flops. A much stiffer shank is required to use any type of crampon successfully.
