Sprint up sand dunes and tear down desert trails in the Montrail Women's Bajada II Trail Running Shoe. Seamless mesh gives this shoe plenty of breathable ventilation as well as a snug fit, and Montrail added an abrasion-resistant screen print for trail protection. The Bajada II also has extra trail shield protection from roots, dirt, and gritty sandstone rocks.
Underfoot, FluidFoam from the heel to toe offers supportive flexibility. The sole's flex grooves also ensure freedom of movement, and Gryptonite carbon rubber delivers aggressive traction on slippery surfaces in any condition.

- Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
- Fit: True to size
The original Bajada was the first trail-running shoe I ever bought, and this version II has made some great improvements to an already well-loved model. It's a nice balance between rugged, flexible, and lightweight. Love the the aggressive tread. I use these on both roads and trails happily.
Fit: The Bajada II is narrower than some other Montrails (like the Mountain Masochist) while still having enough room in the toe box. I have long, skinny feet and love how the heel is narrow and I can tighten the top to snug around my instep.
