Wrap up and say goodbye to chilly shivers.

Gram-counting climbers, ski-touring fanatics, and long-trail backpackers will find that the Montbell Women’s Ultralight Thermawrap Jacket provides supreme warmth without weight that would slow down your ascent into the hills. Montbell tapered the shape of this jacket to fit a female mountain-goers physique, and they added elastic panels at the cuff and hem for additional comfort and stretch. Stash this sub-eight-ounce jacket in your pack and you'll forget it's there until it's time to fend off bitterly-cold alpine weather.

  • Ballistic Airlight nylon shell rolls with the abuse of outdoor life, has a superlight construction, and allows this vest to pack down small
  • Exceloft synthetic insulation lofts up quickly after compression and has a high warmth-to-weight ratio
  • DWR-coated fabric repels light moisture and precipitation to keep you dry
  • A tapered cut matches the curves of a female athletes body

too fitted

I ordered a man's first then a womans as I wanted to layer. It is too fitted at the hips. I took it to Spain with me anyway because I was out of time. Loved the light weight, easy-to-stuff material too! I found this jacket when picking up a friend who had just finished the AT. He loved his and raved about it's warmth as well as it's lightness. Only wish it WAS cut more square. Too narrow at hips and wrists.

I bought this jacket to take backpacking around South America and though i haven't left the Northern Continent yet, I think this is going to be perfect. I took it on a hike where the weather turned unexpectedly cold (30ish degrees) and though i was wearing only a light t-shirt underneath, this kept me cozy! I would've gotten hypothermia without it. Its no frills but that keeps it really really light weight and it crumples up pretty small! I was so impressed i am going to grab one for my daughter as well, since otherwise i know she will be coveting mine! Simple design but great quality. It does run small though. I normally wear a medium and a Large in this was perfect!

Responded on

I agree that this runs small although I would add that the better word might be runs "narrow". It's very fitted and at the hips is narrow. I originally ordered a mans cause I wanted the extra room to layer. It was still too narrow.

Sent it back

I sent this one back. I didn't like the way it seemed boxy and the sleeves by the wrists were really narrow. The material also seemed cheap. I was surprised. I usually love Montbells stuff.
