Protect your core on long alpine climbs or chilly ski days with the synthetic warmth of the Montbell Women’s Ultralight Thermawrap Vest. This uber-light vest packs down small and fluffs up big to give you the perfect warmth-to-weight ratio. Exceloft insulation retains heat even when wet, and the vest’s DWR-coated Ballistic Airlight shell brushes off light snow and drizzle. At only 5.2 ounces, it’s too light not to bring along.

Bottom Line: Little weight, big warmth.

Couldn't be happier with montbell light weight down products, cheaper than competitors and great value. A must for all cold activities.

No, it does not. The cut of the vest is designed to be form-fitting, and negate the need for a drawcord.

For over $90, I was expecting something in a better quality. I didn't like the way the zipper matched the vest. It was extremely thin (compared to a similar vest from another company). I was very disappointed although the fit was fine.

My Sister LOVES it!

By:
January 2, 2009

My sister got this for her birthday, and she loves it! It packs down so small, you could fit it into a pocket, but when you put it on, it's like packing a fireplace, oven, and space heater, into a 5.2oz package1

Great warmth to weight ratio!

By:

This vest is thin but very warm. I am 5ft tall and I usually wear a small to medium. I ordered a medium and it fit just right. Long enough for someone taller as well. My only complaint (thus the 4 stars) is that the pockets do not have zippers so they're great for hand warmers but not for carrying anything valuable.
