Hated the fit

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: Runs large

Bought this after seeing good reviews and complimenting a friend on a similar down skirt. Unfortunately the fabric is very stiff and somehow the cut of it doesn't work at all on my fairly normal body type. It's awkwardly long and boxy when standing or walking around and then as soon as I bend or sit down it gapes open in a very immodest manner ("full exposure" all the way up). The best comparison I can make would be like wrapping a tarp around my waist.

Other folks seem to like it more but not my style...never even took the tags off.

Hey Null
It looks like the length of the Skirt in a Large is going to be 21.5. I hope that this helps and let us know if you need any more help.
Thanks

it's a wrap!

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

having just purchased this yesterday & test driving it on this cold, ice, blustery thanksgiving, I attest this gem is my new favorite! this is the first (and likely the last) skirt i'll ever own, but if there's one skirt to own, it's this! function & warmth are it's first & last names respectively, abolishing the need to fumble with zippers, buttons and drawstrings in the thick of cold. when nature calls, it's a simple affair, not a dreadful one, and the generous-sized, zippered side pocket conveniently houses my cell, lip balm, and emergency chocolate in a hassle-free manner. I normally wear a medium, and this article is no exception. the adjustable waist lets you dial the fit and the length affords enough coverage to my calves (5'2"). the sole challenge is that being a wrap skirt, on a windy day, it does partially open, but provided your leggings are strategically chosen, you'll cut the mustard and squash the cold like nobody's business. in fact, I like this skirt so much that the forseeable challenge may lay in learning to dislike it so I refrain from buying a second. this is the 3rd montbell item I own, and I'm sold.
