Description

Add a new level of warmth to your camp, no matter where you decide to brave the night.

Despite your sheltered camp, double-walled tent, and over-filled sleeping bag, a night above 18,000 feet could be the coldest night of your life. That is unless you slip on the lightweight, packable MontBell Women's Ultralight Down Pants. At the weight of a baselayer and the size of a water bottle when packed, this 800-fill goose down pant lets you rest in the frigid cold without all-night cramping and shivering.

  • Tough ripstop nylon outer won't shred to pieces during a stressful bivy or portaledge experience
  • DWR coating prevents spindrift or condensation from penetrating the insulation and dangerously draining your body heat
  • Sewn-through construction keeps the down in place and effectively insulates you over the years
  • Zippered fly, snap, and an elastic waist with a drawstring keep the pant in place as you mill around basecamp
  • Packs down to a 4.1 x 7.0 inch package inside its included stuff sack

Ultimate "poof suit" pant

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I have the ultimate light weight poof suit (as my brother dubbed it). Montbell light weight jacket. Montbell down pants. And down slippers.
I took these pants to Camp Muir, Rainiet and spend a windy and frigit night at 10k feet. My "poof suit" was glorious. I love these pants. Wish they did have side boot zippers and pockets but so far I haven't regretted owning them once.
I got med (I'm 5ft4 125) I think small would have been tight with leggings under. These are super lightweight and pack down to basically a can of coke.

Awesome but could use better features...

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

I was super happy with the warmth of these pants and how light weight they are as I used them on a 30 traverse through the Pamir mountains in Central Asia. I was disappointed though when I compared them to my partners pants as they had zippers on the side... We would start days in -30F temperatures and it would heat up within a couple hours of us moving. My partner was able to quickly zip off their pants and keep moving. I, on the other hand, had to stop and take off my ski boots to remove the pants. They also have no pockets... cause keeps the light but sometimes you need to put your Chapstick, gloves or Clif Bar in a handy spot and these pants just don't have that option.

Wonderful Snow Pants, Worth the Price

  • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit: True to size

Scoured the internet for weeks in search of the warmest snow pant I could find and was not disappointed. Took these guys out hiking everyday in this winter and even with windchill temps near -20 was warm and comfortable. LOVE that they are super light weight and that they can be packed down into a backpack when you don't need them. Would highly recommend.

Winter Camping Essential

Just brought these on a ski trip to Alaska. They fit loosely...perfectly...for me as I am always a medium. They pack down really small and are perfect for winter camping trips. I would recommend them as one essential piece of gear if you're going to be camping in the snow.
