Nice Vest

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

This vest is exactly what its advertised as. It is super light and did a decent job keeping me warm in 40ish degree weather over a Patagonia Capilene 3 base layer on an eight day backpacking trip into the Diablo foothills in California. It's not the warmest vest out there and those who get cold easily may prefer to get a heavier vest, but it packs down tiny and has a great warmth to weight ratio. Haven't lost any feathers yet that I've noticed either. I am 6'4 and 180lbs. Tall and lanky. I got a medium and it fit great in the chest, snug but not constricting, but had a little bit of extra room around the waist and was slightly short in torso length for my tall skinny frame, which would allow the occasional cold draft up my back. A drawcord in the hem could fix this, but would have added more weight too. Its shell is slippy and snag resistant and would layer very well under a jacket or tech shell. All in all its a great vest and a great piece of gear to add to the collection.

Excellent light vest

  • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions
  • Fit: True to size

(Men's Small, 6' 145. 36" chest, 32" waist)
A men's small fit perfectly well, tight. Normally I wear a S-M jacket, mostly mediums. I sized down to fit this under anything. It's really thin, so I don't know how warm it will be, but it's really effective for layering.

Really nice vest

  • Familiarity: I've used it several times
  • Fit: True to size

I bought this down vest a couple of weeks ago and have used it a couple of times in 30-40 degree weather. It has performed very well in keeping me warm and the best thing is, I can't even feel the weight. Perfect warmth to weight ratio for me.
