MontBell Peak Shell Jacket - Men's - 2007 BCS

Took this jacket on a hike-to-ski trip outside of Telluride. Jacket performed amazingly in constant 45 mph winds with gusts up to 60 mph. Overall great shell.

I purchased this jacket on a strong recommendation from a knowledgeable friend who packs safe and light. I've worn it on one trip. It was a 30deg to 40deg rainy 3-dayer. The coat performed great. I used the under-arm zippers to keep the right temp. Never had a wetness problem either due to rain or sweat. I hiked hard in it for hours. This is not a insulation jacket - just a shell. I just love it so far.

i used this jacket in jackson, wyoming for over a week through bowls and woods and pretty much everything at temperatures ranging from -5 to 20 (with out counting the wind). and its phenomenal. in response to the wind, ( at the top i took gusts up to 60 mph) and the montbell peak stopped all of it. this jacket is great. the one gripe i have if montbell wants me to buy this jacket for the rest of my life, also it says its use is back country skiing, would be for montbell to make their cuffs a little larger so they could fit over gloves. the hood is like no other i have ever used. i used it over my helmet everyday and cinched it down for a snug fit and was neverrrrr looking into the side of the hood. this jacket is incredible (the weight 11 oz, the breathability, the hood, the cuffs and not that horrible a price.) i would highly recommend this jacket.

when you tighten the draw string around (its at the base of the zipper one for each side) it goes up through into the pockets and every time you try and zipper it, there dangling in the way and its annoying but i tied a knot in the zipper to prevent that but still
