Be ready for changing weather conditions on your next climbing expedition when you pack the Montane Women’s Flux Insulated Jacket. Designed to be lightweight, water-resistant and warm, this jacket comes with an athletic cut for reduced bulk and enhanced maneuverability.
  • Ultralight Pertex Microlight ripstop shell is highly breathable, abrasion-resistant, and extremely wind resistant
  • DWR-coating encourages moisture to bead up on the fabric's surface for protection from light rain
  • PrimaLoft Eco is a high-performance, mid-loft insulation that compresses easily, resists wind, and keeps you warm (even if it gets wet)—made with a minimum of 50% recycled content
  • Fast-drying materials improve warmth retention and make the jacket best suited for use in stormy, high-alpine environments
  • Dual-density zoned insulation with internal baffle anchors keep the insulation in place and help eliminate cold spots
  • Two insulated hand-warmer pockets are positioned above where you harness’ waist-belt sits—entire vest packs into hand-warmer pocket for easy transport
  • Storm hood is climbing-helmet compatible so you don’t have to sacrifice safety for warmth

Nice jacket - quality?

I bought this for my wife as a Christmas gift. It's very nice, lots of good attention to detail, and fit well (the 6 appears to correspond well to XS). Looks great, too.

However, within a week or two, the tab used to hang the jacket on a coat rack just came undone. Unfortunately, Backcountry.com didn't have any more in her size/color, and Montane hasn't written back. So, we're keeping it (for now, anyway) because she really likes it and couldn't find another that she thought would look, fit, and feel as good. Whether it will last, who knows?
