The Montana Fly Company Silverman's Sparkle Worm 4-Pack shimmers underwater to attract hungry trout. This worm features a beaded midsection to put the fly in the feeding lane of trout quick and is a great choice when rivers are running high and dirty.

    • Four sparkle worm attractor patterns
    • Bead head sinks fly fast and adds flash

A bit garish, but good for dirty water

    • Familiarity: I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

I'm not against san juan worms, but I found this to be too loud for the streams and rivers I typically fish, unless the water is high or dirty, in which case this is is perfect. But, if the water is clear a normal san juan worm seems to do better than this.

    Great San Juan Worm Pattern

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer

No fly box is complete without the San Juan Worm. This is a great variant of the go to fly. The sparkle body definitely makes this a standout and pulls in more strikes and more fish. Even if you already have a bunch of San Juan Worms, you definitely this as a back up on slower days. If you don't have any, this might end up being your go to fly and dropper rig setup. This fly has caught fish for me all day.
