Full UHMW sidewalls keep the Zephyr extremely durable and surprisingly edgy for a fully rockered board, while the wide 101mm waist provides plenty of float for those stupid-deep days. Moment combined aspen with pine in the Zephyr's core for a progressive and consistent flex, and layered carbon fiber stringers and triaxial fiberglass for ample protection against torsional twisting, so your grom can ski hard without beating up his boards. A Durasurf sintered base will hold up against a little abuse, and thick Rockwell steel edges won't blow out anytime soon.
