The garbones are rockered, whereas the M1s are regular camber.

The M1 is the perfect ski for someone looking for an aggressive all mountain ski. It's pretty wide
so it works on powder days, but fairly stiff so it wont feel like a loose noodle at high speeds.

The ski has camber underfoot but early rise in the tip for 09/10 garbones. The M1 just has regular camber with no early rise. Go to www.momentskis.com for more info.

I skied the 192cm non-rockered version of the M1 last year. It's a very stiff ski that isn't forgiving (stiffer than a vintage 194 Dynastar Legend Pro). If you're not on your game and don't have strong legs, you will get tossed around and head inside for an early round of beers. Mount them up on the suggested line. Although these are NOT powder skis (I can't stress that enough), if you want more versatility, get the rockered version which will allow you to ski moderate levels of deep snow.

Technically speaking there is not "rockered version" of the M1... that is another ski entirely--the Garbone. The M1 is a non-rockered ski (well described in the reviews and remarks on this page). The Garbone is the M1 with a rocker. Hopefully this clears up the confusion.

This ski is stiffer than everything than the Bsquad... the ants and gotomas are kinda noodly, the phantoms not so much... but still not mega stiff.
The M1 is a very stiff ski. you flex it and you think "wow that's stiff but i can manage it.
the B-squad however is crazy stupid stiff... you flex it and you question your athletic ability, and whether you will even be able to ski it or not...

I think it is stiffer than all those. More like an old dynastar legend pro. I raced and it is definitely as stiff as my gs boards. But like i said the rockered tip makes it super easy to plow through anything.It's not a powder ski but its a very good all around big lines ski. I also have the ruby 190 and it has little more forgive and is fatter but i like the m1 rockered for going fast, stomping huge hits, and big mountain sketchy riding. If you cant ski with he big dogs don't get them. The M1 is one of the stiffer stock skis you can buy right now. I haven't skied the B-Squads/Phantoms, but from what I've heard, the M1 is right up there in stiffness. Maybe just a tad softer than the 194 Squad. Definitely much stiffer than the Gotoma.

I just got these skis, rocked them for the first time today. They rip. Super stiff in the tail but rockered tip makes it super easy to dive into almost anything. Pretty lite. I stomped every cliff drop. Very strong stable ski. The only mistake I made was when I mounted them on the suggested line. I would suggest mounting back 3-5 cm to get more use out of stiff tail. Very impressed though. Best ski so far. I'm 145 lbs 5'9 if I can handle em you can.

No these skis are the 08/09 skis. The 09/10 skis have early rise.
