On top of Mt. Baldy, all dotted with trees, you charged a steep chute on Moment's Comi Ski. The Comi was a fine choice 'cause the snow was nipple deep and the apron was ripe with powder to reap. You used to ride a narrower ski, but thanks be to rocker, you love this mega-fat beast.

  • Rockered tip enhances maneuverability in sketchy situations and provides float for deep storm riding
  • Full wood core provides an extremely stable yet responsive feel on the fluffiest or firmest of days
  • Swallowtail adds directional stability in deep powder, not to mention just looks awesome
  • All Moment ski cores are sourced from FSC-certified lumber mills in the US for supply-line consistency and to ensure sustainable harvesting
  • All Moment skis are handmade in Reno, Nevada

Bottom Line: If you love it so much, why don't you marry it, comrade?

After skiing the EP PRO and New Hellbent as my daily drivers for the last few years, (yes I like and can ride fat skis everywhere) I was looking for a fat ski that was ski able in 2 day old sierra cement) not only do they float like a dream, bust through the thickest chopped up powder you can find, are quicker in tight tree's then both the Ep pro's and Hellbents, but the will rail groomers at mach speed without flapping all over the place. Not to mention you can even spin them in the air because there very light for there size. The Perfect ski for someone who loves fat skis.

Dave have you ridden the COMI? I use the 182 as my daily driver in the Tahoe area, I own both Hellbents and Ep pro's and the Comi is quicker in the tree's then both of them, and absolutely RAILS grommers at mach speed, and being that it is fairly stiff it just blast through 2 day old sierra cement, I even take it in the park now and then and it spins a 3 pretty well for such a large ski. I have not touched the hellbents or ep's since I got them. The best powder charging ski made.. And is still a playful ski when the powders gone.

As someone who rides skis with similar dimensions (31m radius, 193cm) I can tell you without a doubt that you will not enjoy these on tree or bump runs. They're good for deep pow and large turns. Look elsewhere.

Are these skis skinnable with the swallow tail?

Are these skis skinnable with the swallow tail?

The skis are skinnable with the swallow tail. The tail clip should fit right between the swallow tail. You'll just need to size the skins about 4 inches shorter than you would for a ski without the swallow tail. Given the enormous width of this ski, loosing that length won't make any difference in traction.
