For the deepest of the deep.

Not every day is a nipple-dip, but they do come around every once in a while (or most days, if you're lucky and happen to run a British Colombian guide service), so it's worth having the Moment Comi Ski in your quiver for the stupid-deep days. Moment actually brought the Comi back from the dead at the request of heli-ski guides, who treasured it for its stability, predictability, and unparalleled float in untouched helicopter-accessed powder. Moment's Front Rocker lets the Comi plane up and over deep, blower snow and variable conditions, while the enormous platform (135mm underfoot) and swallowtail design provide ultimate stability when it's snowed 10 feet in the last two days.

It can be a chore getting a ski this big to stay light and manageable, but Moment's managed it by building the Comi on a snappy aspen and pine core and finishing it with its Lowfat Layup, which employs 30% more carbon fiber than Moment's standard layup, along with fiberglass laminates for stiffness and power when lines get big, steep, and committing. The Comi's obviously not meant for hard snow, but it does have 2.2mm steel edges and UHMW sidewalls to give you enough edging power to handle the occasional firm patch, along with a snow-shedding topsheet to stop the pow building up and dragging you down. Whether it's in your quiver for five days a year or on your feet every day during your heli-centric season, the Comi's a big-time pow ski that's too much fun to pass up.
