There's more engineering packed into the smooth-riding Mizuno Men's Wave Enigma Neutral Running Shoe than you'll find on a US space shuttle. This is a well-cushioned road shoe for runners who already have an efficient gait and want a more plush and flexible feel underfoot. You'll glide through extra-long runs and take on extended training sessions with ease.

  • Mizuno Airmesh upper feels cool and lightweight, and it flexes comfortably
  • Dynamotion Fit eliminates stress points in the shoe upper so the shoe moves seamlessly with your foot throughout your stride
  • Mizuno Wave technology uses a unique midsole shape that dissipates impact forces away from the foot so you get a smoother, more cushioned foot strike
  • Wave Technology plate is made of Pebax Rnew which is a plant-based oil that requires less carbon to manufacture than traditional cushioning materials
  • Intercool is a full-length midsole ventilation system that allows excess heat and moisture to exit your shoe just as fast as you can move your feet
  • AP+ cushioning offers increased rebound energy and results in a bouncier feeling from step to step
  • SmoothRide Engineering utilizes a flexible, grooved sole structure that encourages a natural roll from your heel to your forefoot and that helps boost toe-off power
  • X10 sole utilizes a combination of carbon and rubber material to increase durability and traction where you need it the most

Great shoe, but lacks stability

I'm a bigger guy (6'04", 230 lbs) and was looking for something with a lot of cushioning and a fair amount of stability. These certainly provide a really plush ride. But, unless your stride is super-efficient with zero pronation, I would look elsewhere. I'm usually good with neutral support shoes, but these just weren't for me. Back to my Wave Nirvana's...

    Great Shoe

    • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer

I change my running shoes often due to the number of miles I put on them - I usually run 3-4 marathons a year, as well as a few half marathons, 10k's and 5k's - so I am always training. This shoe has lasted me about 6 months of racing and training, and there is still some good cushion left in the shoe. Much better than almost any other running shoe I've worn in the past 4 years.

    Great Shoe! Period!

    • Familiarity:I've used it several times

Used these shoes eight times on the treadmill and road running. Fit and comfort is second to none. Ran exclusively in Asics and decided to try something new and have not been disappointed. First pair of Mizuno I've owned and love them. Ordered same size as my Asics and the fit is perfect. Will purchase these again.
