Floodgate Sandal - Men's

Ultralight weight and a 360 degree webbing system give the Mion Men's Floodgate Sandal the functional durability that river guides demand. A protective toe cap not only saves your feet from stubs, but also allows water and sand to escape through drainage ports. Quick-drying webbing holds your foot securely in place when you get tossed into Skull Rapid and have to swim like a battlefish to escape. A comfort EVA footbed contains 20% recycled material.

Bottom Line: Don't let the river recycle you.

Mion

Buy these before they are gone. Mion's were discontinued by their parent company and it will be a loss for all of us who like "adventure sandals". The footed is unlike any other and is the best of any (teva, reef, keen, chaco). These are the most comfortable sandals ever.

Well made, high on cool factor

so I've had about 30 days with these, when putting them on the vertical orientation of the heel loop is easy to catch with your finger tip and pulls at the right angle every time. No velcro involved in the strap system makes for a silent dismount. Definitely a learning curve involved with the spiral nature of the 360 webbing system, but once you get it you'll find it cinches down better than any other system. Sturdy toe bumper hides my gnarled toes, err, provides protection with ventilation. Cleaning the forefoot area of the insole is made difficult because of the bumper and webbing, but I wouldn't give up the bumper and they appear to be dishwasher safe anyway!

stinky, stinky

These are the worst, stinkiest sandals I have ever had. Take sundaymtn dishwasher comment seriously. I have the wash them every 2 days...never had to do that. The straps are good, sandals are secure, but my god do they stink. And I have not had that problem with ANY sandal before...in addition, while the footbed is comfortable, dirt and grime collect in that greasy, gooy spot under my instep, and even a trip through the washing machine does not take it out. So if all your friends and you can't smell, go for it.
