You can remove the neoprene liner from the rest of the sandal to just wear the booty when you're spending a long day on the river. When you get back to the shore, easily slip the hydrophobic liner back into the Waterproof Super Structure, pull on the Super Structure cord and enjoy the Flood Tide shoe's incredible comfort. This climbing-grade cord tightens around your foot in critical areas to give you incredible stability with no pressure points. The anatomically-shaped Ergomorphic Footbed takes the shape of your foot to give you a personalized, custom-fit—hence the name Mion (pronounced My-Own). The idea is pretty cool, but I'm not as thrilled with them as I'd hoped. They are pretty wide, and look a little like clown shoes (at least my 13s do). They're wide enough that it can be tricky to drive with them. Also, I can't swear that I feel the footbed has molded to my foot. It takes a little work to pull the cord tight, too. I like the integrated booty, and that makes these my cold-water shoes. When it's warmer, I wear shoes that are slimmer. Mion's customer service is good, though. I lost a cord anchor in the river, and they replaced it very quickly. Finally, the soles are pretty grippy, and work well on wet rocks.

This model is actually 2 in 1. The inner light-shoe, which is the one that fits to your feet as a glove, has its own soft sole and can be used alone.
The external shoe, the actual sandal, comes oversized to allow the inner shoe whithin it. Thusly, the sandal alone wouldn't fit you well when used alone.
