    Minus33 Boxer Briefs

    • Familiarity: I've used it several times
    • Fit: Runs small
    • Size Bought: xxl

Thank you to Backcountry.com and Minus 33 for hand selecting me to review this piece of gear for the benefit of the Backcountry.com community.

I have been wearing these boxer briefs nonstop over the last few weeks (they were washed....not worn for weeks without washing....that is gross). These undies are made out of a very nice, soft, temp controlling merino wool. I was a little afraid that they might be on the warmer side for summer, but never felt uncomfortable in them. They did a great job at keeping me dry during the really hot days and a good job of keeping everything cozy and comfortable when the temps did drop.

The sizing is a bit on the small side. I normally wear a large or XL depending on the brand when it comes to other cotton boxer briefs, but had to go up to the Xxl with these. They have a functional fly that makes having to relieve yourself a breeze.

I never faced any issues with stretching. They fit great in the morning and in the evening still fit fine. The legs are on the longer side, but I never experienced them trying to ride up.

The waist band on these are on the smaller side. I wish it could have been a little wider, but that is personal preference and did not effect the quality of the garment.

I will update this review down the road if anything happens and I feel like I should let everyone know. As of now they are my go to for me adventures and to just wear around for everyday.

    terrible underwear

    • Familiarity: I've put it through the wringer
    • Fit: True to size

I had a terrible experience with this underwear. It developed a hole which turned into a long tear after not a lot of use (like 10 days or so of use). I sent them back because it was under the 60 day warranty. The second pair had the same issue and developed a long tear in a separate spot after very little use. Unfortunately I hadn't worn it very often so it was past the 60 day warranty by that time.

Also these things stretched out like crazy. Near the end of a day these went from fitting like boxer briefs to boxers. I've never seen wool stretch so much. I had to throw them in the drier every day to shrink them back to shape.
