Hercules was a mountaineer, and he wore the Millet Trilogy Limited GTX Jacket. How else do you think he was able to defeat a three-headed dragon and summit Everest all in one day? OK, we may have embellished a bit, but even if a Gore-Tex membrane won't stop fire, it will keep you totally dry while maintaining breathability for comfort during high-output activity.

  • Helmet-compatible, adjustable hood accommodates your brain can for warmth and safety when you get stuck in a blizzard above the treeline
  • Flex Comfort seamless underarm construction allows for natural and full movement
  • Underarm zip vents let you to dump excess heat when necessary
  • Taped seams prevent soaking even by lingering moisture

Bottom Line: The jacket fought over by gods and titans alike.

Hi Guys! I'm 5'8" and 145 pounds and plan to layer with a fleece jacket underneath, what do you think would be a good fit?

Hey,

You could really go small or medium, depending how you like it to fit. If you want a snug fit with your layer underneath, go small. If you want some room between layers, go medium.

This jacket rocks! I bought this at the last minute before a trip to ski on Mount Washington in New Hampshire. This shell was a fortress against the high winds and kept my warm in the low teens with only my R1 and a wool baselayer underneath. The biggest surprise was how breathable the Active Shell is. I didn't even have to open up the pit zips while breaking trail on a boot pack up Hillman's Highway in a foot and a half of fresh POW. I was able to click into my skis and head down without changing any layers.

I am 6' 165 pounds and I found the Medium true to size. Its an athletic cut (unlike my old Patagonia Rainshadow which made me fit two fleece jackets and my big down puffy underneath) but it has room to layer. Keep in mind the tag has Large written on it, but that's european size. just below, it says US-Medium.

Brent,
Thanks for your question. Regarding the Millet fit, I disagree with the previous post in Millet running true to size. Millet garments feature a pretty true Alpine cut similar to Arcteryx, but a bit on the smaller side in my opinion. I am 5'10" 135 lbs and am a pretty true medium in nearly all brands. I own the Millet Trilogy Limited jacket and have a size Large which fits great. if you are in doubt I would size up.

Once you get the fit dialed, you will be very pleased with the performance of this shell. Gore Active shell is a nice technology addition to the Gore stable of Pro Shell and Paclite. The Millet Trilogy is an outstanding hardshell and extremely stylie to boot. I hope this is helpful for you.
