Outfitted for backcountry skiing, alpine climbing, mountaineering, or rugged-weather backpacking, the Millet Men's Trilogy GTX Jacket fends off the gnarliest weather on storm days and sports a streamlined construction for luxurious comfort. Featuring the new Gore-Tex waterproof breathable membrane, 3L Active Shell, this jacket tackles four-seasons of travel into the mountains. Millet waterproofed all the zippers and added plenty of adjustability to this shell so you can dial in the fit and never have to worry about the leaking when you're on a peak at 14,000 feet.

  • Gore-Tex 3L Active Shell membrane offers waterproof-and-breathable protection from the elements without bulk, so you stay dry and won't feel stifled underneath
  • Underarm vents allow you to release excess heat from within and utilize waterproof zippers so moisture won't sneak in when zipped
  • Easy Hood has adjustable height and depth and fits over climbing or ski helmets
  • Flex Comfort seamless underarm construction eliminates hotspots at seams and offers greater range of motion at the arms
  • Gore-Tex Ceramic shoulder reinforcements increase durability at high-wear points
  • Semi-rigid hood visor retains it's shape so you won't have to constantly adjust it to block the wind, sun or precipitation when you're on the move

On Sale - Trilogy GTX is a solid bargin

  • Familiarity:I've used it several times
  • Fit:True to size

I purchased the Trilogy GTX Jacket for rugged-weather backpacking and infrequent, summer climbing weather protection. I am 6-ft 1”, 215-lbs and chemo has left me with a tendency to be cold. Thus, it is important for me to be able to layer well to maintain a warm core.

The Active Shell waterproof breathable membrane fabric works very well- no claminess. With the long water-repellent pit zips and large wrist closures this jacket allow for multiple temperature adjustments, especially when on the move. All zippers are waterproofed and all seams are heat-sealed. You have to choose the correct size- my XL is a European size XXL.

It is relatively light, packable and provides great temp control when layered over base and/or mid layers. The large wrist closures easily fit over long sleeve puffy layers and large gloves.

The two zippered handwarmer pockets with an inside mesh backing that can aid in breathing if the pockets are opened. A bellowed quick-access chest pocket is capable of holding sunglasses, lip balm and light gloves plus a snack bar at one time.

It is helmet compatible- a semi-rigid hood visor is adjustable for height and depth and retains its shape when you're moving. The jacket is on the short side but the elastic hem cinches well to prevent drafts and retain heat.

Waterproof, breathable, light and tough!

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:Runs small

I've owned this jacket for a year and not once have I had a problem with it. I feel like the number one goal in a jacket should be breathable and waterproof...and this jacket does just that. I've been ice climbing in it with water coming down for hours and I stayed dry. I went biking through the Alps for hours in constant rain and I stayed dry and didn't feel clammy (a tough thing to do).

The jacket is in Euro sizes so a large is more like an American medium. It's a tougher jacket than you would expect as it feels very light. I've put this jacket through tough conditions of one day trips to multi-day expeditions and it still looks and feels new. Overall, a great buy.

Millet Trilogy- Light & crazy breathable

  • Familiarity:I've put it through the wringer
  • Fit:True to size

The Millet Trilogy jacket is a nice take on Gore Tex active shell. Super light, breathable because it's active shell with 13mm taping, great fit and it is European made. The Ceramic on the shoulders is nice for added abrasion resistance when you have a pack on, and ceramic in this thread form has a higher tensile strength than steel. Upon opening this jacket up, you'll notice the very high attention to detail in the taping junctions and paneled construction. Bottom line- a great fitting super light jacket that'll hold up to the elements for years.

Great jacket, is warmer than I expected, probably because it cuts the wind out of equation. I wear an x-large american size, ordered X-Large in this size and came European XXL, which is perfect!
