really nice, but too baggy for me

Hey, this is a very well designed technical pant. The belt and buckle, the cut, pockets, and everything are really great. It's not the lightest weight material out there. For summer stuff, I go with Arcteryx Rampart -- awesome pants!! The other main reason i go with the ramparts is that they actually fit.

I'm 2m tall and about 175 pounds, and have chicken legs! Ok! i admit it! hehe, so i got a Large hoping that the "euro" cut would be in my favor. The length is great, super long and at least that part is perfect for me. But tooooo baggy!! I have a good 3-4" of growing room in them, plus way too much spare material around the thighs. I'm keeping them, because they're a good backup and lounging around pant (not what i got them for, and not what they should be used for, but all i can, given the sizing problem). Plus, they fit my brother (185cm or so tall and 20-30 pounds heavier) perfectly, so he can use them when he visits and we hike together.

For tall skinny people, the Arcteryx Rampart 35" inseam medium is the way to go.

Pretty happy with these pants

I've been looking for a pair of pants like this that fit for what seems like forever. More often than not, others fit like clown pants. I am 6'2 about 155, so tall and lanky. These pants fit great, probably because they are European cut. Not so great for short stocky guys, but for me they are perfect.

Put these to the test this past weekend for about 6 miles with some steep scrambling. I really like the stretchy material; not something I have seen on other hiking pants. Well constructed throughout and the two side zipper pockets are perfect for a map, etc. I

A little pricy, but worth it IMO. Millet products are just great in general, these are no exception.

I have the backcountry size small (actually labeled a medium). I think you would be okay with the large. I'm normally a 30" waist.

What size were your pants? I ordered a large and I am 5'10" 160 and it always seems like when I order medium pants they are too snug even though I have a 34" waist.

I saw some review about some saying this has a european cut.

I saw some review about some saying this has a european cut. I'm not so sure that is correct. It says european size... thats not the same as cut. Can someone confirm this? I'm really looking for a tight, low rise, and boot cut. Thanks.

Great Pant

By:

Got last years model of these pants at a local outfitter. They were on sale for considerably less than the price on backcountry. For the price I paid they are five star pants for the $95 they are four star pants. The material is light weight but quite durable due to the stretchiness. The pants I have say large on the label, I am 6' 170 and the fit perfect. My pants only have one side pocket and no back pockets. The side pocket is welded making it almost invisible. The pants shed water like a champ and dry quickly. Best of all unlike MH, TNF, or Patagonia you probably will not run into to many people with these pants, at least here in the states.

Good fit!

When I got these on Steep and Cheap, I was worried about the fit; I got a Large, and I wear 33x34 pants. They fit great. They're long enough without dragging on the ground, and the waist is a good fit too. I hope they last for a while, because I think I'm going to use them a lot.
